ADOPTING THE 1992 EDITION OF THE CITY OF
ALAEDA MUICIPAL CODE AND REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO. 535 , NEW SERIES (ALAEDA MUICIPAL CODE
ADOPTED APRIL 4, 1935)
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the administrative andregulatory ordinances of the City of Alameda be revised
consolidated codified and arranged in appropriate Chapters
Articles , and sections;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAEDA
tha t :
section 1 . This ordinance shall be known as the " Alameda
Municipal Code" and it shall be sufficient to refer to the Code as
the "Alameda Municipal Code" in any prosecution for the violationof any provisions thereof. It shall also be sufficient to
designate any ordinance adding to , amending or repealing, the Code
or portions thereof, as an addition or amendment to, or a repeal
, the "Alameda Municipal Code" or a portion thereof.
section 2 . A copy of the "Alameda Municipal Code" which
been placed on file with the City Clerk for use and examination by
the public and declared to be of public record , is hereby adopted
as the "Alameda Municipal Code"
section That City of Alameda Ordinance No. 535, New
Series of the City of Alameda, adopted April 4, 1935, and all other
ordinances and parts of ordinances or resolutions of the City of
Alameda in conflict herewith be, and the same are, hereby repealed.
section 4 This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the
date of its final passage.
