ADOPTING THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1991 EDITION , AND UNIFORM
FIRE CODE STANDARDS PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS GOVERNING
CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO LIFE AND PROPERTY FROM FIRE OR
EXPLOSION BY AMENDING SECTION 15-1.2 i 15-1.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Alameda
section 1 The Alameda Municipal Code is
amending section 15-1.2 to read as follows:

Sec. 15-1.ADOPTION OF UNIFORM FIRE CODE. 1991EDITION.There is hereby adopted by the City of Alameda for
the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions
hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion, that
certain Code and Standards known as the Uniform Fire Code
including Appendix Chapters I-A, I-B, I-C, II-A , II-B , II-C
II-D, II-E, II-F , III-A , III-B , III-C , III-D , IV-A , V-A, VI-AVI-C , VI-D , VI-E and VI-F, and the Uniform Fire Code Standards
published by the Western Fire Chiefs Association and theInternational Conference of Building Officials being
particularly the 1991 edition thereof and the whole thereofsave and except such portions as are hereafter deleted, d
modified or amended by Section 7 of this ordinance of which
Code and Standards not less than one (1) copy has been and is
now filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of-c
Alameda and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as
fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date on
which this ordinance shall take effect , the provision thereof
shall be controlling within the limits of City of Alameda.
section 2 The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by
amending Section 15-1.7 to read as follows:
Sec. 15-1.ESTABLISHMENT OF LIMITS OF DISTRICT IN WHICH
STORAGE OF EXPLOSIVES AND BLASTING AGENTS IS TO BE PROHIBITED
The limits referred to in Section 77.107 (a) of the Uniform
ire Code, in which storage of explosives and blasting agents
is prohibited, are hereby established as follows:
Fire Zones No.1 and No., which boundaries thereof are
designated in Subsections 15-2.2 and 15-2.3 of the Alameda
Municipal Code.
Section . The Council of the City of Alameda hereby declares that
should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this ordinance
or of the Code hereby adopted , be declared for any reason to be
invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have passed
all other portions of this ordinance independent of the elimination

herefrom of any such portion as may be declared invalid.
section 4 This ordinance shall be in full force and
and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the
final passage.
