AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE WITH
GTE MOBILNET OF CALIFORNIA LIMITED PARTNERSHIP
WHEREAS , GTE MOBILNET OF CALIFORNIA LIMITED PARTNERSHIP
a California limited partnership, desires to lease from the City
Alameda a cellular site to be constructed at Fire Station 1(Encinal Avenue and Park Street) to provide adequate cellular
service to the City of Alameda; and
WHEREAS , a form of Lease containing the covenants , terms
and conditions to be entered into is on file in the office of theci ty of Clerk of the City of Alameda; and
WHEREAS , it is in the public interest that said Lease beentered into;
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA as follows:
Section That the form of Lease referred to in the
preamble hereof, and the terms , conditions and covenants contained
therein be , and the same are hereby .approved.
Section 2 . That the Mayor of the City of Alameda be , and
he is hereby authorized to execute , for and on behalf of the City
of Alameda , a Lease substantially in the form and containing the
terms and conditions and covenants as set out in the Lease referred
to in the preamble hereof , and the City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to attest to the same.
section This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (3 0) days
date of its final passage.
