AMENDING THE ALAEDA MUNICIPAL CODE
AMENDING SUBSECTIONS 12-4.AND 12-4.
SECTION 12-4 (PUBLIC OFF-STREET PARKING LOTS)
AND SUBSECTION 12-13.2 (a) OF SECTION 12-13
(PARKING METERS), OF CHAPTER XII (PARKING LOTS
AND PARKING METERS) THEREOF , PERTAINING TO
PUBLIC OFF- STREET PARKING
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Alameda
tha t :
section 1 . The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby
by amending subsections 12-4.1 and 12-4.5 of section 12-4
Off-Street Parking Lots), of Chapter XII (Parking Lots and
Meters), to read as follows:

12-4 PUBLIC OFF- STREET PARKING LOTS.
12 -4. 1 Establishment of Public Off-Street Parking Lots.
Public off-street parking lots are hereby
(3tablished in the city, and all of the provisions of this section
shall be applicable. thereto. Such off-street parking lots are
those areas designated as that certain real property located within
the City of Alameda , County of Alameda , state of California , as
particularly described on City Engineer Drawing No. 8439-42 , Public
Off-street Lots , incorporated herein by reference as fully set out
herein , are hereby designated to be , and are , public off-street
parking lots , to be ,known respectively, as Post Office Court - site
, Alameda -Central Avenue - site C , Santa Clara Avenue - Haight
Street , site W Washington Park - site B , and Webster street-Taylor
Avenue - site D.
12-4.Rates for Use of Public Off-Street Parking Lots.
a. The parking meters located on the public off-street
parking lots shall be equipped to receive only legal coins of the
United states of America. The rates shall be designated by
appropriate markings or signs.
b. Public off-street parking rates shall be set by cityCouncil resolution.c. The rates for use of attendant lots shall be
established per agreement with Contractor ' and approved by city
Council.
d. Monies collected from the parking lots shall be
placed in the Parking Meter Charge Fund and used accordingly
pursuant to subsection 12-13.
Section The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amendedby amending subsection 12-13.2 (a), (Regulations for Parking atParking Meters), Section 12-13 (Parking Meters), Chapter XII
(Parking Lots and Parking Meters), to read as follows:a. Parking meters , when installed , shall be so adjusted
to show legal parking upon and after the deposit of only legal
coins of the United states of America.
Parking meter rates are established by resolution.
Maps detailing the location , time limits and hours of operation for
all meters within the City shall be established and maintained by
the city Engineer s Off ice.
section This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the
date of its final passage.
