AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THIRD AMENDMENT TO
TIDELANDS LEASE WITH ALAMEDA GATEWAY , LTD.
WHEREAS , a proposed amendment to the Tidelands Lease
entered into on April 20 , 1984, with Alameda Gateway, Ltd. has been
submitted to the City Council; and
WHEREAS , said amendment returns the ferry facility back
to the City and resolves the rent dispute; and
WHEREAS , it is in the best interests of the City of
Alameda to amend the lease to resolve these issues.
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that:
Section The City Counci 1 of the City of Alameda
hereby approves and authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Third Amendment to Tidelands Lease between the City of Alameda and
Alameda Gateway I Ltd., a California limited partnership, in the
form substantially similar to the proposed Third Amendment to
Tidelands Lease attached to the staff report from the Public WorksDirector.

This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the
date of its final passage.
