AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2096 TO PROVIDE FOR A SIX MONTH
EXTENSION OF THE EXISTING CABLE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT WITH
UNITED CABLE TELEVISION OF ALAMEDA , INC., D/B/ AI TCI
CABLEVISION OF ALAMEDA
WHEREAS , Ordinance No. 2096 , adopted by the City of Alameda City Council on July
, 1982 , granted a non-exclusive franchise to United Cable Television of Alameda , Inc., for the
installation, constrction, operation and regulation of a cable television system for the City of
Alameda; and
WHEREAS , such franchise had an initial term of fifteen (15) years from the date of
acceptace; and
WHEREAS , the City of Alameda is in the process of renegotiating the cable franchise.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Alameda that:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 2096 shall be amended such that Section 3 Franchise General
rms and Conditions , paragraph 1 , shall read:
United Cable Television of Alameda , d//a TCI Cablevision of
Alameda, hereinafter referred to as grantee , is hereby granted a
non-exclusive franchise for a period of fifteen (15) years and six
(6) months from the date of acceptace of ths franchise on the
terms and conditions hereinafter set fort.
Section 2 . All other provisions of Ordinance No. 2096 , as it has been amended from time
to time , will remain in full force.
Section 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the expiration of
thirt (30) days from the date of its final passage.
