APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SUBLEASE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN AMEDA REUSE AND REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY, AS SUBLESSOR, AND THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, AS
SUBTENANT , FOR LEASE OF THE THE MA STREET FERRY
TERMAL OVERFLOW PARG LOT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MAAGER TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS , the United States of America, acting by and though the Deparment of the
Navy, has declared certin facilties surlus at the (former) Naval Air Station, Alameda; and
WHEREAS , Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Authority, the sublessor of the (former)
Naval Air Station and the City of Alameda, has immediate need to use the surlus propert; and
WHREAS , such surlus propert may be leased to state of local governents pending fInal
disposition of such propert pursuat to the provision of Public Law 94-107 , IOU. S .2667 (f); and
WHEREAS , the City of Alameda, as Subtenant, and Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment
Authority, as Sublessor, desire to develop approximately 1.24 acres as a ferr terminal parking lot.
NOW, THREFORE , BE IT ORDAID by the City Council of the City of Alameda that:
Section 1 . The City Council of the City of Alameda hereby approves and authorizes the
execution of the Sublease Agreement between Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Authority (as
Sublessor of the United States of America acting though the Deparent of the Navy) and the City
of Alameda (as Sublessee) for use of approximately 1.24 acres at the (former) Alameda Naval Air
Station for the Main Street Ferr Terminal Overflow Parking Lot.
Section 2.The City Manager of the City of Alameda be , and is hereby authorized to execute
for and on behalf of the City of Alameda, the Sublease Agreement, substatially in the form andcontag the terms and conditions and covenants as set out in the Sublease Agreement, a copy of
whicn is on fIe ih the Offce of the City Clerk.
Section 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect ITom and after the expiration
thirty (30) days IToII the date of its fInal passage.

and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21 st day
of July , 1998 , by the following vote to wit:

ABSENT:Councilmember Kerr - 1.
ABSTENTIONS:None.
