APPROVING AN AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF LEASE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN GTE MOBILNET , AS LESSEE , AN THE CITY OF
ALAMEDA , AS LESSOR , FOR THE INSTALLATION OF
TELECOMMCATIONS TRASMISSIONF ACILITY WITHIN THE CHUCK
CORICA GOLF COMPLEX
BE IT ORDAID by the Council of the City of Alameda that:
WHREAS , on Januar 13 , 1999 , the Planng Board approved the Use Permit and Major
Design Review Application for the Installation of a Telecommuncation Transmission Facility within
the Chuck Corica Golf Complex; and
WHREAS , GTE Mobilnet desires to lease ITom the City of Alameda a small parcel of land
within the Chuck Corica Golf Course to provide a Telecommuncations Transmission facility for an
initial five-year term and three additional five-year option terms , for a maximum of 20 years; and
WHEREAS , it is in the public interest that said Lease be entered into; and
WHEREAS , pursuant to City Charter section 3-, no real property of the City shall be
leased for a period in excess of one year or sold , except upon the affirmation vote of four membersof the Council. :D
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAID by the Council ofthe City of Alameda, by fouraffirmative votes:
Section That the form of Lease referred to in the memo ITom Matthew Naclerio , Public
Works Director, dated Februar 10 , 1999 presented at the City Council meeting of February 16
1999 , and the terms , condition:: and covenants contained therein be , and the same are hereby
approved.
Section 2 . That the City Manager ofthe City of Alameda, be and he is hereby authorized to
execute , for and on behalf ofthe City of Alameda, a Lease substantially in the form and containing
the terms and conditions and covenants as set out in the Lease referred to in the preamble hereof, and
the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest to the same.
Section 3 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect ITom and after the expiration
thirt (30) days ITom the date of its final passage.

and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd day of
March 1999, by the following vote to wit:
