Ordinance 2828CITY OF ALAMEDA ORDINANCE NO. 2828 New Series APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AN THE ALAMEDA UNFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT EXCHANGING REAL PROPERTY INTERESTS AN OTHER CONSIDERATION BETWEEN THE PARTIES WHEREAS, the City of Alameda expects to receive conveyance of real property at the former FISC site and Alameda Point from the federal governent and desires to convey approximately 20 acres of that l'rop,rty (12 acres at Alameda Point and 8 acres at the FISC/East Housing site) to the Alameda Unified School District for educational puroses; and WHREAS , the City of Alameda desires to donate up to $2.27per square foot of new residential development at the proposed FISC and East Housing development for the construction of a school within that proposed FISC and East Housing development; and(U WHEREAS, the City of Alameda supports the Alameda Unified School Districts desire to obtain similar donations from other residential development projects in the City's Northern Waterfront; and :) WHEREAS , the City of Alameda desires to convey its real property interest in approximately 6.5 acres of dr land real propert comprising APN 072-0380-19 and APN 072-0380- 20; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda desires to receive fee title to the Mastick Senior Center from the Alameda Unified School District; and WHEREAS , pursuant to City Charer section 3-, no real propert of the City shall be leased for a period in excess of one year or sold, except for an affirmative vote of four members of the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAID by the Council ofthe City of Alameda and upon the affirmative vote of four members that: Section 1.The City Manager of the City of Alameda, be and is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement Between the Alameda Unified School District and the City of Alameda in a form substantially similar to that Agreement Between the Alameda Unified School District and the City of Alameda on file in the Offce ofthe City Clerk, for and on behalf ofthe City of Alameda for the exchange of real property and other consideration under the terms and conditions generally described in that Agreement. Section 2 This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the expiration ofthirt (30) days from the date of its final passage.
