Ordinance 2899CITY OF ALAMEDA ORDINANCE NO. 2899 New Series AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SUBSECTION 6 (P ARING ENFORCEMENT HOLIDAYS), OF SECTION 8-7 (P ARING PROHIBITIONS) OF CHAPTER VIII (TRAFIC MOTOR VEHICLES AND ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION MODES) THEREOF , BY DELETING LINCOLN'S BIRTHDAY FROM THE LIST OF PARG ENFORCEMENT HOLIDAYS BE IT ORDAIND by the Council of the City of Alameda that: Section 1 . The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending subsection 8-6 (Parking Enforcement Holidays), of Section 8-7 (Parking Prohibitions) of Chapter VIII (Traffc, Motor Vehicles and Alternative Transportation Modes) thereof to read: Parking Enforcement Holidays. When any subsection of this section exempts holidays from the parking restriction, holidays exempt shall be the day that the following holidays are observed by the City: January 1 Martin Luther King Jr.' s Birtday Presidents ' Day Memorial Day July 4 Labor Day Veteran s Day Thansgiving Day Day after Thanksgiving December 25 If January 1 , July 4 or December 25 falls on a Saturday, the Saturday shall be considered an additional holiday. Section 2 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its fin :;p.
