AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SUBSECTION 30-57.(EXEMPTIONS) OF SECTION 30-
(ALAMEDA WATER REUSE), OF ARTICLE IlIA (ALAMEDAWATER REUSE) OF CHAPTER XXX (DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS) RELATING TO WATER REUSE
BE IT ORDAIND by the Council of the City of Alameda that:
Section 1 . The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending
Subsection 30-57.7 (Exemptions) of Section 30-57 (Alameda Water Reuse) of Aricle
IlIA (Alameda Water Reuse), Chapter XXX (Development Regulations) thereof to read:
Section 30.57.Exemptions.
The City Engineer or his/her designee may exempt new industrial
commercial or residential subdivisions from the requirements of this section if he/she
finds that there is an alternative higher or better use for recycled water, the use is not
economically justified, or its use is technically infeasible. If the City Engineer or hislher
designee determines that it is appropriate to exempt the subdivision from this Ordinance
the City Engineer shall notify the Plannng Board and City Council of this decision.
Section 2 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the
expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its final passage.
