MINUTES OF ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF ALAMEDA CITY COUNCIL
MARCH 17. 1993
The meeting convened at 10:20 p.m., with President Withrow
presiding.
ROLL CALL - Present: Councilmembers Appezzato, Arnerich,
Lucas, Roth and President Withrow - 5.
Absent: None.
93-153 Resolution No. 12373 "Approving Memorandum of
Understanding Between the International Association of Firefighters
Local 689 and the City of Alameda for the Period January 1, 1993
through December 31, 1994." (Continued from Regular Meeting of
March 16, 1993)
Vice Mayor Roth moved adoption of the resolution. Councilmember
Lucas seconded the motion.
Councilmember Appezzato stated his vote in no way reflects upon the
professionalism of the Firefighters; however, is in the best
interest of the City.
Councilman Arnerich stated there is no pay raise for 1994; it would
be a cost of living adjustment with a cap of four percent; net
result [of the MOU] will be a savings of $135,000 at no additional
cost to the General Fund.
The motion was carried by the following voice vote: Ayes:
Councilmembers Arnerich, Lucas, Roth and President Withrow - 4.
Noes: Councilmember Appezzato - 1. Absent: None.
ADJOURNMENT
President Withrow adjournment the meeting at 10:25 p.m.
