TUESDAY MARCH 24, 1992 - - - 7:30 P.M.
The meeting convened at 7:33 p.m., with President Withrow presiding.
ROLL CALL
Present: Councilmembers Camicia, Lucas, Roth and President
Withrow - 4.
Absent: Councilman Arnerich - 1.
92-215 Resolution No. 12221 "Objecting to Consideration of Dividing
the City of Alameda for the Purpose of Representation on the
Alameda/Contra Costa Transit District Board of Directors."
(Councilmember Camicie.)
John Scott Graham, Alameda, suggested abandoning A.C. Transit
District and starting a City bus service with BART feeder bus and
trans-bay commuter services.
Bonny Moore, Alameda, encouraged Council to not support dividing the
District; believes the City should remain united, otherwise A.C.
Transit will not address Alameda's concerns.
Councilmember Camicia moved adoption of the resolution. Councilmember
Lucas seconded the motion which was carried by unanimous voice vote -
4.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m. by President Withrow,
