APPROVING INTERIM EXPENDITURES PRIOR TO
ADOPTION OF THE OPERATING BUDGET AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2002-03
WHEREAS, State law requires that the City of Alameda adopt an annual budget
representing a financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 2002 and ending June 30, 2003; and
WHEREAS, there will be submitted to the City Council at the meeting of July 16, 2002, the
Operating Budget and Capital Improvements for fiscal year 2002-03; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Operating Budget and Capital Improvements for Fiscal Years
2002-03 includes several expenditures prior to the adoption of the City of Alameda Operating
Budget and Capital Improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of. u ........ ~·~ ....
hereby approves interim expenditures of the City of Alameda prior to the approval of the City
Alameda Operating Budget and Capital Improvements for Fiscal year 2002-03 at the levels set
the City of Alameda Operating and Capital Improvement Budget for 2001-02 to allow payment
routine expenses including payroll and vendor expenses at prior year's level.

adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 4th
