CITYOFALAMEDARESOLUTIONNO.14914 PRELIMINARILYAPPROVINGTHEANNUALREPORT DECLARINGTHECITY'SINTENTIONTOORDERTHELEVY ANDCOLLECTIONOFASSESSMENTSANDPROVIDING FORNOTICEOFPUBLICHEARINGONJUNE17,2014- ISLANDCITYLANDSCAPINGANDLIGHTINGDISTRICT84-2 WHEREAS,theCityofAlameda(the"City")hasdulycreatedtheIsland CityLandscapingandLightingDistrict84-2(the"District")underthe LandscapingandLightingActof1972(Sections22500andfollowingofthe StreetsandHighwaysCodeofCalifornia)(the"Act")toinstallandmaintain certainlandscapingandlightingimprovements(the"Improvements");and WHEREAS,theCityhasdirectedtheCityEngineer,asengineerofwork fortheDistrict,tofileanannualreportinaccordancewiththeAct,andthat reportisonfilewiththeCity,andshowstheproposedimprovementsandthe estimatedcostsandassessments,allforFY14-15. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVEDbytheCityCounciloftheCity ofAlamedathat: 1.ThereportoftheengineerofworkonfilewiththeCityis herebypreliminarilyapprovedandtheCityintendstolevyassessmentsonthe propertiesshowninthereportforFY14-15,subjecttoanychangesthatmaybe orderedbytheCityCouncil. 2.OnJune17,2014,atthehourof7:00P.M.,theCity CouncilwUIholdapublichearingontheproposedimprovementsandthe proposedassessmentsforFY14-15.Thehearingwillbeheldatthemeeting placeoftheCityCouncil,intheAlamedaCityHall,2263SantaClaraAvenue, ThirdFloor,CouncilChambers,Alameda,California,94501. 3.TheCityClerkisauthorizedanddirectedtogivenoticeof thehearingrequiredbytheActbypublishingacopyofthisresolutionatleast onceintheAlamedaJournal,anewspaperregularlypublishedandcirculatedin theCity.Thefirstpublicationshallbenotlaterthantendaysbeforethedateof saidhearing. 4.InterestedpersonsshouldcontactLiamGarland, AdministrativeServicesManager,CityofAlamedaPublicWorksDepartment, 950W.MallSquare,Room110,Alameda,California94501,telephonenumber (510)747-7930,regardingthishearing,theassessments,andthereport. ***** I,theundersigned,herebycertifythattheforegoingResolutionwasduly andregularlyadoptedandpassedbytheCounciloftheCityofAlamedaina regularmeetingassembledonthe6th dayofMay,2014,bythefollowingvoteto wit: AYES:CouncilmembersChen,EzzyAshcraft,andTam-3.
