HELD TUESDAY APRIL 24, 1984
The meeting convened at 4:30 p.m. with President Diament presiding.
ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef, and President
Diament - 5.
Absent: None.
RESOLUTIONS
84 -271 Resolution No. 10304 "A resolution approving an agreement with the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development to accept an Urban Development Action
Grant for 51,836,000."
Fred Scullin noted that he had suggested a legal opinion be obtained regarding
the use of grant funds in the Community Improvement District as it could be a
violation of the City Charter.
The City Attorney stated that he would recommend the areas in which the funds
are used be excluded from the Community Improvement District.
Councilmember Lucas made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Gorman, that the
resolution be adopted; the motion carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmembers
Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef, and President Diament - 5. Noes: None. Absent:
None.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned
at 4:50 p.m. The next regular Council meeting will be scheduled May 1, 1984.
