HELD FRIDAY NOVEMBER 23, 1979
Convened at 9:00 o'clock a.m. with President Corica presiding.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen Diament, Tillman, Stone, and President Corica - 4.
Absent: Councilman Sherratt - 1.
The Notice and Agenda of this Special Meeting is on file in the Office of
the City Clerk. Purpose of the Special Meeting was to consider a resolution
appointing J. Bruce Rupp Acting City Manager of the City of Alameda.
79 -816 Resolution 9189, "Appointing J. Bruce Rupp Acting City Manager of
the City of Alameda." Councilman Diament made a motion, seconded by Councilman
Tillman that the resolution be adopted; the motion carried on the following
roll call vote: Ayes: 4. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Sherratt - 1
Councilman Stone made a motion, seconded by Councilman Diament, that the
Council adjourn to Executive Session for a discussion of personnel matters;
the motion carried by unanimous voice vote - 5.
At the conclusion of discussion, President Corica ordered the meeting
reconvened to special session.

Councilman Stone made a motion, seconded by Councilman Diament, that J.
Bruce Rupp be granted the "Y" rating salary at the current salary established
for the City Manager and directed that he inform the Council as to that
exact amount; the motion carried by unanimous voice vote - 4.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the Council
adjourned at 10 :00 a.m. o'clock.
