HELD FRIDAY
JANUARY 18, 1980
Convened at 4:00 p.m., with President Corica presiding.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Stone, Tillman and President Corica - 5
Absent: None.
The Notice and Agenda of this Special Meeting is on file in the Office of
City Clerk. Purpose of the Special Meeting was for an Executive Session for
discussion of personnel matters and action thereon, if desired.
80 -072 Councilman Diament made a motion, seconded by Councilman Sherratt,
that the Council adjourn to Executive Session for a discussion of personnel
matters; the motion carried by unanimous voice vote - 5.
At the conclusion of discussion, Councilman Stone made a motion, seconded
by Councilman Sherratt, that the Council reconvene to special session;
the motion carried by unanimous voice vote - 5.
80 -073 Councilman Tillman made a motion, seconded by Councilman Diament,
that the Council offer the position of City Manager to J. Bruce Rupp; the
motion carried by the following roll call vote; Ayes: Councilman Diament,
Tillman, and President Corica - 3. Noes: Councilman Stone - 1.
Abstaining: Councilman Sherratt - 1. Absent: None.
80 -074 After further Council discussion, President Corica obtained the
consent of Council and established the salary for the City Manager at S3,626.00
per month.
80 -075 Councilman Sherratt made a motion, seconded by Councilman Diament,
that the Council adjourn to Executive Session for a further discussion of
personnel matters; the motion carried by unanimous voice vote - 5.
At the conclusion of discussion, it was determined that no further action
would be taken.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council, the Council
adjourned at 5 :55 p.m.
