Resolution 14919CITYOFALAMEDARESOLUTIONNO.14919 AUTHORIZINGTHECITYMANAGERTOSUBMITAREQUESTTO THEMETROPOLITANTRANSPORTATIONCOMMISSIONFOR THEALLOCATIONOF$125,917INFISCALYEAR2014/2015 TRANSPORTATIONDEVELOPMENTACTARTICLE3 PEDESTRIAN/BICYCLEPROJECTFUNDINGANDTOEXECUTE ALLNECESSARYDOCUMENTS WHEREAS,Article3oftheTransportationDevelopmentAct(TDA),Public UtilitiesCode(PUC)Section99200etseq.,authorizesthesubmissionofclaimstoa regionaltransportationplanningagencyforthefundingofprojectsexclusivelyforthe benefitoruseofpedestriansandbicyclists;and WHEREAS,theMetropolitanTransportationCommission(MTC),asthe regionaltransportationplanningagencyfortheSanFranciscoBayregion,has adoptedMTCResolutionNo.4108,entitled"TransportationDevelopmentAct,Article 3,PedestrianandBicycleProjects,"whichdelineatesproceduresandcriteriafor submissionofrequestsfortheallocationof"TDAArticle3"funding;and WHEREAS,MTCResolutionNo.4108requiresthatrequestsforthe allocationofTDAArticle3fundingbesubmittedaspartofasingle,countywide coordinatedclaimfromeachcountyintheSanFranciscoBayregion;and WHEREAS,theCityofAlamedadesirestosubmitarequesttoMTCforthe allocationofTDAArticle3fundstosupporttheprojectsdescribedinAttachmentBto thisresolution,whicharefortheexclusivebenefitoruseofpedestriansorbicyclists.
