1977-07-26 Special CC MinutesSPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
HELD TUESDAY - - -JULY 25, 1977
Meeting convened at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall with
President Corica presiding.
ROLL CALL: Roll was called and Councilmen Diament, Sherratt, Tillman and President
Corica, (4), were noted present. Absent: Councilman Beckam, (1).
Receipt of the Notice and Agenda of this Special Meeting had been acknowledged by
the Councilmen and was on file. Purpose of the session was for discussion of litiga-
tion and personnel matters, and action thereon, if desired.
Councilman Sherratt moved the Council retire to executive session for a discussion
of litigation and personnel matters, seconded by Councilman Diament, carried
unanimously on voice vote of the four members present.
It was noted Councilman Beckam arrived at 5:30 p.m.
At the conclusion of discussion, Councilman Diament moved the Council adjourn from
executive to open session, seconded by Councilman Sherratt, carried by unanimous
voice vote.
There being no objection, the meeting proceeded to "Resolutions".
RESOLUTIONS:
1. The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Beckam who moved its
adoption:
"Resolution No. 8763
Designating the Number of and Providing for the Compensation
of Certain Officers and Other Employees of the City of Alameda."
The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by Councilman Diament and carried
on the following voice vote. Ayes: Five. Noes: None. Absent: None.
2. Councilman Sherratt moved the City Manager be granted a six percent pay increase.
The motion was seconded by Councilman Beckam and carried on the following voice vote.
Ayes: Three. Noes: Councilman Diament and President Corica, (2). Absent: None.
ADJOURNMENT:
3. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the Council adjourned
at 7:15 p.m.
