CITYOFALAMEDARESOLUTIONNO.14931 APPROVINGANDADOPTINGTHEMID-CYCLEUPDATETOTHE OPERATINGANDCAPITALBUDGETFORFISCALYEARS2013-2014 and2014-2015(CityandCityasSuccessortotheCommunityImprovement Commission) WHEREAS,therehasbeensubmittedtoandfiledwiththisCityCouncilat thismeeting,amid-cycleupdatetotheoperatingandcapitalbudgetrepresenting thefinancialplanforconductingtheaffairsoftheCityofAlamedaandits SuccessorAgencyfortheFiscalYearsa.)beginningJuly1,2013andendingJune 30,2014,andb.)beginningJuly1,2014andendingJune30,2015;and WHEREAS,theCityCouncilhasconsideredthisbudgetatadulynoticed specialmeetingoftheCityCouncil;and WHEREAS,theCityCouncilhasgiventhisbudgetdueconsiderationasto itsprojectedrevenues,anticipatedexpendituresandavailablefundbalances;and WHEREAS,Counciliscommittedtomaintainingreservelevelsinthe GeneralFundataminimumlevelof20%ofannualexpenditures;and WHEREAS,theMastickSeniorCenterAdvisoryBoardwillmaintainfull controloveritsannualbudgetandongoingrevenues/expendituresandthattheir fundswillalwaysremainseparateanddefinedforseniorservices;and WHEREAS,thismid-cyclebudgetupdatewillallowtheCitytocontinueto haveaprojectedfundbalanceinitsGeneralFundofapproximately27%ofits proposedexpendituresandtransfersoutattheendofFiscalYear2014-15,in accordancewiththeCouncil's20%reservepolicy;and WHEREAS,thisbudgetensuresthattheCityofAlameda,includingall funds,entitiesandcomponentunits,hasexercisedprudentjudgmentinits fiduciaryresponsibilityasguardiansofthepublictaxdollars. NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDbytheCityCounciloftheCityof AlamedathatsaidbudgetassubmittedtotheCityCouncilatthismeetingis herebyapprovedandadoptedastheoperatingandcapitalbudgetfortheCityof AlamedaanditsSuccessorAgencyforFiscalYear2014-15,andthatthe expenditurebyeachfund,departmentandprogramareherebyapprovedand authorizedasthetotalappropriationsfortheFiscalYearendingJune30,2015. ****** I,theundersigned,herebycertifythattheforegoingResolutionwasduly andregularlyadoptedandpassedbytheCounciloftheCityofAlamedaina regularmeetingassembledonthe3rd dayofJune 2014,bythefollowingvoteto wit: AYES:CouncilmembersChen,Daysog,EzzyAshcraft,Tam andMayorGilmore-5.
