HELD THURSDAY JULY 15, 1971
The meeting convened at 6:00 o'clock p.m. with President La Croix presiding.
ROLL CALL:
Noted present were Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker and President La Croix, Jr., (4). Absent:
Councilman McCall, (1).
Councilman Levy moved the Council retire to executive session for consideration of personnel matters.
Councilman Fore seconded the motion which on roll call carried unanimously.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. City Manager Weller, on request, reported on the completion of negotiations in "meet and confer"
sessions with the Fire Fighters under the Meyers - Milias -Brown Act, with respect to salary increases and
benefits for fiscal year 1971 - 1972.
After brief discussion, Councilman Levy moved the Council conclude its executive session. Councilman
Longaker seconded the motion which on roll call carried unanimously.
RESOLUTIONS:
2. rrr, The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Levy, who moved its adoption:
"Resolution No. 7808
Amending Salary and Position Resolution No. 7806 Relating to
Compensation and Overtime Pay for Fire Department Employees."
The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by Councilman Fore and carried on the following roll
call vote. Ayes: Four. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman McCall, (1).
The President declared the foregoing resolution adopted.
ADJOURNMENT:
3. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the Council adjourned, to assemble in
regular session on Tuesday, July 20, 1971, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., when it would sit as the City Board of
Equalization prior to the regular meeting of the Council.
