ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
HELD TUESDAY EVENING SEPTEMBER 12, 1967
The meeting convened at 7:30 o'clock p.m. with President McCall presiding.
ROLL CALL:
The roll was called and Councilmen Bartley, Fore, La Croix, Jr., Levy and President McCall, (5),
were noted present. Absent: None.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1.e' The matter of the proposed Council procedural ordinance was submitted for consideration.
Upon request, City Attorney Cunningham reviewed in detail the provisions of the contemplated ordinance
and the suggested revision of the "Order of Business" as set forth therein.
Certain questions called for explanations in clarification by the City Manager and the City Attorney.
The matter was then referred to "Introduction of Ordinances".
INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES:
2( Councilman Bartley moved the introduction of the following ordinance:
An Ordinance Amending Article 1, Chapter 1, Title II, of the Alameda
Municipal Code, Relating to City Council Meetings and Procedure."
The motion to introduce said ordinance was seconded by Councilman La Croix and carried on the follow-
ing roll call vote. Ayes: Five. Noes: None. Absent: None. The ordinance was then laid over
under provision of law and the Charter.
3. The next subject for consideration at this meeting was the appointment of members to fill vacan-
cies on certain Boards and Commissions.
Therefore, Councilman La Croix moved the Council retire to the Conference Room for an Executive Session
to deliberate on this matter. The motion was seconded by Councilman Bartley and unanimously carried.
Following a lengthy discussion of prospective appointees, it was determined that final action in this
