1972-07-14 Special CC Minutes447 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA HELD FRIDAY JULY 14, 1972 The meeting convened at 8:00 o'clock a.m. in the Conference Room, No. 303, with President La Croix presiding. ROLL CALL: Noted present were Councilmen Levy, Longaker, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (4). Absent: Councilman Fore, (1). UNFINISHED BUSINESS: 1. Receipt of the Notice and Agenda for this Special Meeting had been acknowledged by the Councilmen and was on file. The purpose of the session was for consideration of the Memoranda of Understanding for wages and benefits for City employees for the fiscal year 1972 -1973, and action thereon, if so desired. Councilman Longaker moved the Council retire to executive session for its deliberations. Councilman Levy seconded the motion which carried unanimously. Assistant City Manager Goss reported on the negotiations with the various employee organizations in the "meet and confer" process, which had been concluded. Councilman Levy moved the Council conclude its executive session and the salary increases and benefits for City employees be approved as set forth, with a 5% salary adjustment for management personnel. The motion was seconded by Councilman Longaker and carried on the following roll call vote. Ayes: Four. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Fore, (1). There being no objections, the meeting proceeded to "Resolutions ". RESOLUTIONS: 2. The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Levy, who moved its adoption: "Resolution No. 7959 Designating the Number of and Providing for the Compensation of Certain Officers and Other Employees of the City of Alameda." The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by Councilman Longaker and carried on the following roll call vote. Ayes: Four. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Fore, (1). The President declared the foregoing Resolution adopted. ADJOURNMENT: 3. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the Council adjourned. Respectfully submitted, City Clerk
