HELD WEDNESDAY EVENING APRIL 29, 1964
The meeting convened at 7:00 o'clock p.m. with President Godfrey presiding.
ROLL CALL:
The roll was called and Councilmen Freeman, La Croix, Jr., McCall, Rose and President Godfrey,
(5), were noted present. Absent: None.
The members of the Advisory Golf Commission were also present - Messrs. Robert L. Veres, Elliot S.
Peterson, Elwood Heaney, Parker Favier and William J. Hay.
Councilman McCall moved the Council go into an executive session for the purpose of discussing with
the "Commission" the selection of a Concessionaire to operate the Pro Shop and Driving Range at the
Alameda Municipal Golf Course. Also, for the Council to consider appointments of members to the
various Boards, Commissions, Committees and Agencies of the City. The motion was seconded by Coun-
cilman La Croix and on roll call carried by the following vote. Ayes: Five. Noes: None. Absent:
None.
After a lengthy discussion of the circumstances pertinent to the position of the Concessionaire,
it was agreed that the Council would meet at;a special sesssion on Tuesday afternoon, May 12, 1964,
to interview certain applicants for said post.
The members of the Commission were excused with thanks. The Council then discussed possible
appointees to the several Boards - and determined that no action would be taken at this time.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the Council adjourned.
