1964-09-01 Special CC MinutesSPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
HELD TUESDAY AFTERNOON SEPTEMBER 1, 1964
The meeting convened at 3:00 o'clock p.m. with President Godfrey presiding.
ROLL CALL:
The roll was called and Councilmen La Croix, Jr., McCall, Rose and President Godfrey, (4), were
noted present. Absent: Councilman Freeman, (1).
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Receipt of the Notice and Agenda of this special meeting had been acknowledged by the Councilmen
and was on file. The purpose of said meeting was for consideration of the appointment of officers
and members of the several Boards, Commissions, Committees and Agencies.
There being no objections, the Council retired into an executive session for its deliberations con-
cerning the appointment of a City Auditor, ex-officio Assessor, of the City of Alameda, to fill the
vacancy which would soon occur by reason of the retirement of Mr. Raymond E. Brown, incumbent.
Following some discussion, it was determined that no action would be taken on the matter at this
time.
ADJOURNMENT:
2. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the Council adjourned.
