SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
HELD WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, OCTOBER 11, - - - - - 1961
The meeting convened at 1:55 o'clock p.m. with President Collischonn presiding.
ROLL C&LL:
The roll was called and Councilmen Godfrey, McCall, Schacht and President Collioo600n, (4),
were noted present. Absent: Councilman Dungan, (1).
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Receipt of the Notice and Agenda for said special meeting had been acknowledged by each of the
Councilmen and was on file.
2. The meeting had been called for the purpose of giving Consideration to the appointment of mem-
bers to the Citizens Advisory Committee for Community Improvement and also to consider the recent
request from the Social Service Board to hold a joint meeting with the City Council, at its conven-
ience - and to take action on these matters if so desired.
At this point, Councilman Godfrey moved the Council go into an executive session for its deliberation
on the matter of the Committee appointments. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schacht and
uoauiMouely carried.
After discussing a number of prospective appointees, it was determined that appointments to this
Committee would be laid over to the next regular Council meeting, pending acceptance from the respec-
tive proposed members.
3:4 With regard to the joint meeting with the Social Service Board, it was agreed the time of 4:00
o'clock in the afternoon of Tuesday, December 12, 1961, would be set aside for said purpose, and
action would be taken at the proper time to adjourn to the specified date and time.
ADJOURNMENT:
4. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the Council adjourned.
