HELD FRIDAY AFTERNOON DECEMBER 20 1940
The meeting convened at 5:04 o'clock P. M. with Vice-President Godfrey presiding.
ROLL CALL:
The roll was called and Councilmen Maurer, Norris and Vice-President Godfrey, (3),
were noted present. Absent: Councilman Carrington and President Weichhart, (2).
REPORTS OF COlvEITTEES:
1. From the City Manager, recommending that contract for furnishing five Four-Door
Sedans to the City of Alameda for use in the Police Department be awarded to Doherty
Bros., at its bid price of $1,795.73.
Councilman Morris moved the recommendation of the City Manager be adopted; that con-
tract for furnishing five Four-Door Sedans to the Police Department be awarded to
Doherty Bros., at its bid price of $1,795.73 and that check be returned to the un-
successful bidder. The motion was seconded by Councilman Maurer and upon roll call
carried by the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen Maurer, Morris and Vice-President
Godfrey. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Carrington and President Weichhart, (2).
2. Councilman Maurer moved the meeting adjourn to meet in regular session on
Tuesday evening, January 7, 1941, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. The motion was seconded by
Councilman Morris and unanimously carried.
