HELD WEDNESDAY EVENING 1EPTEM3E1 2 1942
The meeting convened at 7:15 p. m. with President Godfrey presiding,
ROLL CALL:
The roll was called and Councilmen Branscheid, Howe, Jones, Maurer and President
Godfrey, (5) , were noted present. Absent: None.
RE ORTS OF C OMMITTEES :
1. From the City Manager, recommending that the City Attorney, City Auditor and.
Assessor, City Clerk and himself be authorized to represent the City of Alameda at
the annual meeting of the League of California Cities, to be held in Los Angeles,
September 21 to 24, 1942, and that a sum not to exceed $240. be appropriated to
defray expenses.
Councilman Jones moved the recommendation of the City 'Manager be approved and the
above named officials be authorized to attend the annual meeting of the League of
California Cities. The motion was seconded by Councilman Branscheid and on roll
call carried by the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen Branscheid, Howe, Jones,
Maurer and President Godfrey, (5). Noes: None. Absent: None.
RESOLUTIONS:
2. The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Maurer, who moved its
adoption:
"Resolution No. 2790
Approving Specifications for Removal of Track on
Encinal Avenue and Directing the City Clerk to
Advertise for Sealed. Bids."
The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by Councilman Branscheid and on
roll call carried by the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen Branscheid, Howe, Jones,
Maurer and President Godfrey, (5) . Noes: None. Absent: None. Thereupon the Mayor
declared said resolution duly adopted and passed.
FILING:
3. Specifications - For removal of track on Encinal Avenue, between Oak
and Sherman Streets.

.4. Councilman Branscheid moved the Council adjourn to meet in adjourned regular
session on Thursday evening, September 10, 1942, at 6:15 p. m.
