HELD WEDNESDAY MORNING SEPTEMBER 2 - - - - 1942
The meeting convened at 8:00 a. m. with President Godfrey presiding.
ROLL CALI:
The roll was called and Councilman Branscheid, Howe, Jones, Maurer and President
Godfrey, (5), were noted present. Absent: None.
RESOLUTIONS:
1. The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Branscheid, who moved its
adoption:
"Resolution No. 2788
Approving and Adopting a Budget for the Fiscal Year
1942-1943; Appropriating Certain Moneys for the
Expenditures Provided in Said Budget for Said. Fiscal
Year, and Ratifying Certain Expenditures Heretofore
Made."
The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by Councilman Howe and on roll call
carried by the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen Branscheid, Howe, Jones, Maurer
and President Godfrey, (5) . Noes: None. Absent: None. Thereupon the Mayor de-
clared said resolution duly adopted and passed.
2. The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Maurer, who moved its
adoption:
"Resolution No. 2789
Fixing the Rate and Levying a Tax on all Real and
Personal Property in the City of Alameda for the
Fiscal Year 1942-1943 and Apportioning the Same
among the Several Funds of the City,"
The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by Councilman Branscheid and on roll
call carried by the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen Branscheid, Howe, Jones, Maurer
and President Godfrey, (5) . Noes: None. Absent: None. Thereupon the Mayor declared
said resolution duly adopted and passed.

3. Budget of City of Alameda for fiscal year 1942-1943.
ADJOURNMENT:
4. Councilman Branscheid moved the Council adjourn to meet in adjourned regular
session on Wednesday evening, September 2, 1942, at 7:15 p. m. The motion was
seconded by Councilman Howe and unanimously carried.
