HELD TUESDAY EVENING, NOVEMBER 24, - 1942
The meeting convened at 7:05 p. m. with President Godfrey presiding.
ROLL CALL:
The roil was called and Councilmen. Sranscheid, Jones, Maurer and President
Godfrey, (4) , were noted present. Absent: Councilman Howe, (1).
RESOLUTIONS:
1• The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Maurer, who moved its
adoption:
"Resolution No. 2804
Authorizing the Execution of an Agreement of Compromise
Between the City of Alameda and Kate G. Pedersen, Indivi-
dually and as Executrix of the Estate of Lars A. Pedersen,
Deceased, with Respect to the Respective Interests of Said
Parties in the Award to be Made in Certain Condemnation
Proceedings Instituted by the United States of America."
The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by Councilman Branscheid and on
roll call carried by the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen Branscheid, Jones,.
Maurer lid President Godfrey, (4) . Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Howe, (1).
Thereupon the Mayor declared said resolution duly adopted and passed.
2. The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Maurer, who moved its
adoption:
"Resolution No. 2005
Requesting Cancelation o Taxes on Property Acquired
by the City of Alameda. for Municipal Purposes."
The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by Councilman,Branscheid and on
roll call carried by the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen Branscheid, Jones,
Maurer and President Godfrey, (4), Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Howe, (1).
Thereupon the Mayor declared said resolution duly adopted and passed.
3. The 'followinz resolution was introduced by Councilman Branscheid, who moved
its adoption:
"Resolution No. 2806
Taxes on Property Acquired by the
City. of Alameda for Municipal Purposes."
The motion to adopt said resolution .. was seconded by Councilman Maurer and on roll
call carried by. the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen Branscheid, Jones, Maurer
and President Godfrey, (4) . hoes: None. Absent: Councilman Howe, (1). Thereupon
the Mayor declared said resolution duly adopted and passed.
PASSAGE:
4. "Ordinance No.
New Series
An Ordinance Leasing the Center Slip at the
Alameda -Mole to the United States of Amarica."
Councilman Maurer moved the ordinance be adopted as read. The motion was seconded by
