The roll was called, and Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer and President Weich- hart, (4), were noted present. Absent: Councilman Morris, (1). REPORTS OF COMMITTEES: `°l. From Public Utilities Board, accompanied by a copy of Resolution No. 307 entitled, "Adopting Budget for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1939, and indicatir a pledged dividend of 4160,000.00 to the City during the year ending June 30th,1939. Councilman Godfrey moved that the report be filed and that a letter of acknowledgment be sent to the Public Utilities Board, seconded by Councilman Maurer and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer and President Weich- hart, (4). Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morris,(1). UNFINISHED BUSINESS 2. Approval of map of Tract 526, Alameda, Alameda County, California, was referred to "Resolutions ". RESOLUTIONS: 3. Councilman Maurer introduced and moved the adoption of "Resolution No. 2265 Transferring Funds from the In Lieu Tax Fund to the General Fund of the City ", Councilman Godfrey seconded the motion, and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, and President Weichhart, (4). Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morris, (1). 4. Councilman Carrington introduced and moved the adoption of "Resolution No. 2266 Transferring Funds from the Alcoholic Beverage Control Fund to the General Fund ", Councilman Godfrey seconded the motion, and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer and President Weichhart, (4). Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morris,(1). 5. Councilman Carrington introduced and moved the adoption of "Resolution No. 2267 Transferring $5000 from the Library Fund to the General Fund ", Councilman Maurer seconded the motion, and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer and President Weichhart,(4). Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morris,(1). 6. At this time Councilman Maurer moved that the regular order of business be suspend- ed and the Council refer to "Ordinances for Passage ", seconded by Councilman Godfrey and unanimously carried. ORDINANCES FOR PASSAGE: 7. "Ordinance No. 649, New Series. Reclassifying Property ", (Tract 526) Councilman Godfrey moved that the ordinance as read be adopted, seconded by Councilman Carrington and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer and President Weichhart, (4). Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Monis,(1). 8. "Ordinance No. 650, New Series Reclassifying Property', (Property Known as 1511 Central Avenue) ", Councilman Godfrey moved that the ordinance as read be adopted, seconded by Councilman Carrington and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington Godfrey, Maurer and President Weichhart, (4). Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morris,(1 9. "Ordinance No. 651, New Series Reclassifying Property (Property Known as 1223 High Street) ", Councilman Maurer moved that the ordinance as read be adopted,seconded by Councilman Carrtgton, and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington Godfrey, Maurer and President Weichhart. (4). Noes: None. Ahspnt: Ciinnilmun Mnrric fl FILING: 10. Balance Sheet as of May 1938, Bureau of Electricity. 11. Preliminary Report upon Sewage Disposal for East Bay Cities. BILLS: 12. An itemized list of claims against the City of Alameda and the several departments thereof in the total amounts as follows, was presented to the City Council: General Departments, $75.00; Fire Department, $229.01; Park Department, $1730.56. Councilman Maurer moved, seconded by Councilman Carrington, that the claims and bills against the City in the amounts as listed and itemized in the List of Claims filed with the City Clerk on June 28th, 1938, and presented to the Council at this meeting be allowed and paid. On roll call this motion carried by the following vote: Ayes: Council- men Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer and. President .Weichhart, _(4). Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morris,(1). V13. Councilman Maurer moved that the Council recess to permit the City Planning Board to hold a special meeting, seconded by Councilman Carrington and so ordered by the Mayor. 14. At 8:45 o'clock P.M. the Council reconvened. Councilman Maurer moved, seconded by Councilman Godfrey, that the Council return to the order of business under "Resolutions" The motion unanimously carried. RESOLUTIONS: 15. Councilman Maurer introduced and moved the adoption of "Resolution No. 2268 Requiring Execution of Agreement to Improve Streets and Easements in 'Tract 526, Alameda, Alameda County, Cal- ifornia' ", Councilman Carrington seconded the motion and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer and President Weichhart, (4). Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morris,(1). 16. Councilman Carrington introduced and moved the adoption of "Resolution No. 2269 Requiring Execution of Agreement to Improve Streets and Easements in 'Tract 526, Alameda, Alameda County, California?", Councilman Maurer seconded the motion and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Cari'ington, Godfrey, Maurer and President Weichhart, (4). Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morris,(1). Y17. The City Clerk in his capacity as Secretary of the City Planning Board informed the Council that ata special meeting of the City Planning Board held at 8 :30 o'clock P.M., June 28th,1938, a motion was unanimously carried that the final map of Tract 526, Alameda, Alameda County, California, be approved. 18. Councilman Maurer introduced and moved the adoption of 'Resolution No. 2270 Approving Subdivision Map of 'Tract 526, Alameda, xlameda County, California' ", Councilman Carrington seconded the motion, and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer and President Weichhart, (4). Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morris,(1). 19. There being no further business to transact, the Council adjourned to meet in regular session on Tuesday evening, July 5th, 1938, at 8 o'clock P.M.
