HELD MONDAY EVENING, AUGUST 29th 1938
The meeting convened at 8:30 o'clock with President Weichhart presiding.
The roll was called, and. Councilmen Carrinr,ton, Godfrey, Maurer and President
Weichhart, (4), were noted present. Absent: Councilman Morris,(1).
FILING:
1. The Clerk presented for filing the Affidavit of Service of Notice calling this
special meeting. The affidavit was ordered filed.
RESOLUTIONS:
2. Councilman Carrington introduced and moved the adoption of
"Resolution No. 2281
A Resolution Authorizing the City Manager of the City of
Alameda to File an Amended Application with the United
States of America, Through tne Federal Emergency Administra-
tion of Public Works, for a Grant to Aid in Financing the
Construction of a Two-lane Sub-aqueous Vehicular Tunnel under
and Across the San Antonio Estuary, and Designating Said City
Manager to Furnish Such Information as the Government May
Request",
Councilman Godfrey seconded the motion, and on roll call carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer and. President Weichhart, (4). Noes: None.
Absent; Councilman Morris,(1).
3. Councilman Godfrey introduced and moved the adoption of
"Resolution No. 2282
Authorizing Preparation of Plans and Supporting Data for
City's Application to Federal Emergency Administration of
Public Works for a Grant to Aid in Construction of
Sub-aqueous Tunnel and Authorizing Employment for Special
Services",
Councilman Carrington seconded the motion, and on roll call carried by the following
vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer and President Weichhart, (4). Noes:
None. Absent: Councilman Morris,(1).
4. There being no further business to transact, the meetin adjourned to meet in
regular session on Tuesday evening, September 6th, 1938, at 3 o'clock P.M.
