1933-04-05 Adjourned Regular CC MinutesADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL HELD WEDNESDAY EVENING, APRIL 5th, 1933 The meeting convened at 8 o'clock with Council-president Murray presiding. The roll was called and Councilmen Leydecker, Morris, Shanly and President Murray (4) were noted present. Absent: Councilman Schaefer, (1 1/ 1. The following ordinance was introduced as an emergency measure, under provision of the City Charter: "Ordinance No. Regulating and Licensing the Sale of Beer, Ale, Porter,Wine, Similar Fermented Malt of Vinous Liquor and Fruit Juice Containing One-half (*) of One (1) per Centum or More of Alcohol by Volume and Not More than Three and Two-Tenths (3.2) per Centum of Alahol by Weight in the City of Alaneda,'County of Alaneda, and Providing Penalties for Viola- tions of Any of the Provisions Thereof." Mr. Shanly moved that the ordinance as read be adopted, seeonbd by Mr. Morris, and on roll call carried unanimously. 2. Mr. Shanly moved, seconded by 'r. Morris, that the Clerk be instructed to write to Assemblyman William F. Knowland, requesting him to do everything in his power to have the time extended for payment of taxes without delinquency. The motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to transact, the Council adjourned to - meet in regular session Tuesday evening, April 18th, at 8 o'clock.
