1933-04-07 Special CC MinutesSPECIAL REETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA HELD WEDNESDAY EVENING, APRIL 7th, 1933 The meeting convened at 8 o'clock with Council-president Murray presiding. The roll was called and Councilmen Leydecker, Morris, Shanly, and President Murray (4) were noted present, Absent: Councilman Schaefer, (1). The Clerk offered for filing the Notice of Call of Special Meeting and affidavit of delivery of service. Ordered filed. Paras 1319 Park St. 5, Upon motion of Mr. Leydecker, and seconded by Mr. Shanly, the appli- cation of Sam Carlson, 1706 Lincoln Av. for On and Off license, was ordered held for further investigation. The motion was unanimously carried. Upon motion of Mr. Morris and seconded by Mr. Shanly, the application of A. Von Schmidt, 1527 Park Street, for an On license, to sell alcoholic bev- erages, was denied by the unanimous vot of the Council. 7. Mr. Morris moved, seconded by Mr. Leydecker and carried unanimously, that all On licenses be investigated by the Chief of Police and a report be made to the Council of his investigation. / 8. • The application of Wetherald & Co., for an On license to sell alco- holic beverages, was denied on motion of Mr. Shanly, seanded by Mr. Morris and unanimously carried. The application of Endre Nielsen for an On license to sell alcoholic beverages was denied on motion of Mr. Shanly, seconded by Mr. Morris and unan- imously carried. The application of Sue Seabeck, for an On license to sell alcoholic beverages was denied on motion of Mr. Shanly, seconded by Mr. Morris. Carried unanimously.
