1935-09-19 Special CC MinutesSPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA
HELD THURSDAY AFTERNOON, SEPTEMBER 19th ....... 1935
The meeting convened at 5:30 o'clock P.M. with President Roebke presiding.
The roll was called and Councilmen Broyles, Eschen, Morris and President Roebke,
(4), were noted present. Absent: Councilman Munro, (1).
1. The affidavit of service for calling this special meeting was presented and ordered
filed.
RESOLUTIONS and ORDINANCES INTRODUCED:
2, Councilman Broyles introduced and moved the adoption of
"Resolution No. 1990
Granting Bulkhead Easements to the United States of America,"
:Councilman Eschen seconded the motion and on roll call carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Eschen, Broyles, Morris, and President Roebke, (4). Noes: None. Absent:
Councilman Munro, (1).
3. The following ordinance was introduced and laid over under provision of the Charter
"Ordinance No.
New Series
An Ordinance for Regulation of the Construction, Maintenance,
Location, Operation, and Licensing of Moting Picture Theatres".
COMMUNICATIONS:
A communication was presented from the City Manager with regard to the forthcoming
Alameda-Contra Costa Counties Days at the San Diego Exposition, and recommending that
a delegation be sent from the City Council of Alameda, and that any expense incurred
be taken from the Advertising Fund. There being no objection, the matter was referred
to the Committee of the Whole.
5./ A communication from the Gity Attorney, with regard to the above, and notifying
that if the purpose of the trip is to advertise the City, the expense would be a
proper charge against the Advertising Fund of the City. There being no objection,
the matter was referred to the Committee of the Whole.
6. There being no further business to transact, the Council adjourned to meet :in
regular session, Tuesday morning, October 1st, 1935, at 11 o'clock A.M.
