The meeting convened at 8 o'clock P.M. with President Weichhart presiding.
The roll was called, and Councilmen Godfrey, Morris and President Weichhart,
(3), were noted present. Absent: Councilmen Carrington and Maurer, (2).

1. Councilman Godfrey moved, seconded by Councilman Morris, that when the Council ad-
journ it do so to meet in Adjourned Regular Session at 7 o'clock P.M. on Monday Octo-
ber 25th, 1937., and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen
Godfrey, Morris and President Weichhart, (3). Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen
Carrington and Maurer, (2).

cerning the deposit of sewerage on the mud flats along the Western Waterfront east of
the San Francisco- Oakland Bay Bridge and in the Oakland Estuary. Communication was

v12. From the City Manager submitting a summary of the activities of the City of Alameda
for the month of September, 1937. The communication was ordered filed.
13. From the City Planning Board recommending that a petition for the reclassificat on
of the southeast corner of Central Avenue and Oak Street from a Business District
Class III to a Business District Class V, for the purpose of constructing a Service
Station be not allowed. In view of the fact that request had been filed asking the
Planning Board for a rehearing on this petition, Councilman Godfrey moved, seconded by
Councilman Morris, that consideration of the recommendation be postponed until the
first meeting in November, and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes:

construction of a tennis court at Haight Avenue and Linden Street, recommending that

the contract be awarded to Ransom Company, the low bidder, at a price of $1508.70.
Councilman Morris moved, seconded by Councilman Godfrey, that the recommendation be ad-
opted and that the checks be returned to the unsuccessful bidders, and on roll call car-
ried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Godfrey, Morris and President Weichhart,
(3). Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Carrington and Maurer, (2).
