SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA,
WEDNESDAY EVENING, APRIL 1ST, 1931.
The meeting convened at 8 Welock with Council-president Schaefer presiding.
The roll was called and Councilmen Brodersen, Calcutt, Henning, Latham and.
President Schaefer, (5), were noted present. Absent: None.
The Clerk offered for filing the copy of the Call and Affidavit of Service
of special meeting notice.
Mr. Latham moved that the Council recess to permit joint meeting with the
City Planning Commission. The motion was seconded by Mr. Henning and carried
unanimously.
Upon reconvening all members were noted present.
The City Clerk reported to the Council that the matter of the heating fox
the reclassification of certain property situated on the north side of Fernside
Ballevard, between Versailles Avenue and High Street, had been acted upon by the
City Planning Commission, and the Commission recommends to the Council the granting
of the petition; the result of the vote being Ayes: Commissioners Haslett, Godfrey,
Stow and Mehrtens, (4). Not voting: Comdssioner King, (1).
Mr. Latham moved that the recommendation of the City Planning Commission be
adopted, seconded by Mr. Henning and on roll call carried unanimously.
The following Ordinance was introduced and laid over under .a provision of the
Charter:-
"Ordinance No.
New Series..
Reclassifying Property.
(Fernside Boulevard, between Versailles Avenue
and High Street)".
There being no further business to transact the Council adjourned to meet
in regular session, Tuesday evening, April 7th, 1931, at 8 o'clock.
