REGULAR MEETING OF THE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT_ COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
HELD TUESDAY - - - - - - - - - - - - - _ - - AUGUST 212 1984
The meeting convened at 7:25 p.m. with Chairman Diament presiding. The Pledge
of Allegiance was led by Commissioner Monsef. The Invocation was given by
Reverend Wally Riches, Twin Towers Methodist Church.
ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioners Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and
Chairman Diament.
Absent: None.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS, GENERAL
Mr. Fred Scullin, 1120 Chestnut Street, read a letter addressed to the Commission
regarding the necessity to amend the Plan of the West End Community Improvement
Project Area and to bring it into conformity with the proposed amendment to the
Marina Village Master Plan (dated August, 1984). Mr. Scullin specifically
expressed concern relative to the construction of affordable housing in the
Project Area.
Commissioner Gorman motioned, seconded by Commissioner Hanna, that Mr. Scullin's
communication be referred to staff for a recommendation; motion carried by the
following vote: Ayes: Commissioners Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and Chairman
Diament - 5. Noes: None. Absent: None.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Commission, the meeting
adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
