REGULAR MEETING OF THE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
HELD TUESDAY OCTOBER 15, 1985
The meeting convened at 7:29 p.m. with Chairman Diament presiding.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Commissioner Lucas. Reverend
Doug Henderson (retired), gave the Invocation.
ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioners Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and
Chairman Diament - 5.
Absent: None.
MINUTES
The minutes of the Regular Commission meeting held September 17, 1985,
were approved as submitted on a motion by Commissioner Lucas, seconded
by Commissioner Monsef, and carried by unanimous voice vote - 5.
RESOLUTIONS
Resolution No. 85 -27 "Authorizing execution of agreements for
financial advisory and legal services related to the issuance of Tax
Allocation Bonds."
Commissioner Monsef inquired as to the manner in which financial and
legal consultants are selected. Staff explained that there are only a
few firms who specialize in this type of work, and they are well known
and respected and charge standard fees. The City Attorney is
consulted in connection with the bond counsel, and the City will
discuss the quality of services provided by the underwriter with the
developer (who will pay the costs associated with this issue).
Commissioner Hanna moved for adoption of the resolution, and the
motion was seconded by Commissioner Monsef, and carried by the
following vote: Ayes: Commissioners Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef
and Chairman Diament - 5. Noes: None. Absent: None.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Commission, the
meeting was adjourned at 7:36 p.m.
