In response to Commissioner Arnerich, the Community Development Director noted the Economic Development Commission [EDC] held an advertised informal open house at City Hall to discuss the Project; because of high attendance and great interest shown, the EDC is holding a second open house, May 17, 1991, in Council Chambers, the EDC has attempted to make available numbers of opportunities for people to ask questions and receive information, all of which is a prelude to the Joint Public Hearing to be held on May 21 between Council and the Community Improvement Commission. Commissioner Roth inquired if such workshops could be held elsewhere and the Community Development Director replied there have been two meetings in each of Park Street, West End and North Waterfront areas; staff could gather informally with groups in their homes.
