SPCTAI MEETING OF THJ OOTThTOIL OF THE CITY OP ALAMEDA,
FRIDAY EVENING, JANUARY 23RD, 1914.
The Council convened with Council-president Alfred Morgenstern presiding.
The Roll was called and Councilmen Bartlett Bullock, Hammond MacRa
Morgenstern, Morris, 7?robst, Roth and Stewart, (9), were noted present. Ab sent:
None.

The Deputy Clerk read the call of the meeting which was ordered filed.
Mr.Probst asked for recognition-from the chair and spoke of efficiency in
the selection of the Oitz Clerk. ieovd that B. Bullock be aDpointed City
Clerk seconded by Mr. Bartlett. Mr. Hammond spoke in favor of the selection
and furthered the nomination of Mr. BulloOk. The vote was taken which resulted--
as follows:- Ayes:Councilmen Bart]ett Hammond and Probst, (3). Noes:Counoil-
men MacRae, Morenstern, Morris, Roth and Stewart, (5) . Excused from voting:
Councilman Bullock, (1).
Mr. Stewart introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption:-
RESOLVED, That R. E. Bosshard be, and he hereby is, appointed. City Clerk
of the City of Alameda to fill the vacancy caused by the removal of T. C.
Coughlin.
Mr. MacRae seconded the motion to adopt the Resolution and it was adopted
and passed by the following vote:- Ayes:Councilmen MacRae, Morgenstern, MOrri
Roth and Stewart, (5). Noes:None. Absent:None. Excused from voting: Councilmen
Bartlett, Bullock, Hammond and Probs (4), who explained their reasons for not
voting.
