Roth, Stewart, Talker, Mkens and President Bullock, (9), were noted
present . Absent :None.

An Ordinance providing for the Regulation of the
Business of using, Operating and Driving Auto-
mobiles for Hire upon the Public Streets of the
City of Alameda, Providing for Licenses to Carry
on such Business and for the Revocation thereof,
Fixing the Amount of License Fees to be Paid,
Requiring the furnishing of Bonds, Making the
Violation of Any of the Provisions of this
Ordinance a Misdemeanor and Providing a Penalty
Therefor, and Repealing All Ordinances or Parts
of Ordinances in So Far as the Same May be in
Conflict Herewith.
came up for passage. Mr. Tilkens moved, :inasmuch as the Oakiand Council
were considering an Ordinance Of ,a similar nature, that the matter be
postponed for one .week, seconded by Er. Probst and carried.
• A communication was received from the Board of Education request4g
the papering and revarnishing of the two front rooms used by the Board.

of the Municipal Code of 'the City of Alameda, having
to do with Fees and Charges Allowable to the City
Engineer,
which was loid over under a provision of the Charter.
There being no further business to transact the Council adjourned
to meet in regular session, Tuesday evening, • january
7: 30 o'clock.
