HELD TUESDAY DECEMBER 29, 1981
The meeting convened at 8:30 am. with President Corica presiding.
ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmen Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 3.
Absent: Councilmen Diament and Gorman - 2.
The purpose of the Special Meeting was discussion of possible issuance of Industrial
Development Bonds and consideration of two resolutions relative to issuance of
bonds.
81 -784 Discussion of possible issuance of Industrial Development Bonds.
John Torode, Digital Microsystems, and Tom Cook, Intrastate Radio Telephone, Inc.,
explained their plans for locating in the proposed Harbor Bay Business Park and
the financing needed for land acquisition and contruction.
Charles Tillman, 2415 Roosevelt Drive, spoke regarding issuance of Industrial
Development Bonds.
81 -785 Resolution No. 9658 "Authorizing the issuance of bonds for the purpose of
financing construction of facilities by Digital Microsystems, Inc."
Councilman Sherratt made a motion, seconded by Councilman Stone, that the resolution
be adopted; the motion carried by the following roll call vote: Ayes: Councilmen
Stone, Sherratt, and President Corica - 3. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Diament
and Gorman - 2.
81 -786 Resolution No. 4659 "Authorizing the issuance of bonds for the purpose of
financing construction of facilities by Intrastate Radio Telephone, Inc."
Councilman Sherratt made a motion, seconded by Councilman Stone, that the resolution
be adopted; the motion carried by the following roll call vote: Ayes: Councilmen
Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 3. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Diament
and Gorman - 2.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the Council adjourned at
9:25 a.m.
