Chair Johnson convened the Special Meeting at 7:46 p.m.
Commissioner Matarrese led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL - Present: Commissioners Daysog, DeWitt, Kerr,
Matarrese and Chair Johnson -5.
Absent: None.
MINUTES
(03-014) Minutes of the Special Community Improvement Commission
Meetings of February 18, 2003. Approved.
Commissioner DeWitt moved approval of the minutes.
Commissioner Kerr seconded the motion, which carried by unanimous
voice vote – 5.
AGENDA ITEMS
(03-015) Resolution No. 03-105, “Authorizing Conveyance By
Quitclaim Deed of Approximately 3.08 Acres at the Former East
Housing/ Fleet Industrial Supply Center for Construction of 52-
Units of Affordable Rental Housing to the Housing Authority of the
City of Alameda.” Adopted.
Commissioner DeWitt moved adoption of the resolution.
Commissioner Matarrese seconded the motion, which carried by the
following voice vote: Ayes: Commissioners Daysog, DeWitt,
Matarrese, and Chair Johnson – 4. Noes: Commissioner Kerr – 1.
(03-016) Resolution No. 03-106, “(I) Finding that the Use of Taxes
Allocated from the West End Community Improvement Project for the
Purpose of Increasing, Improving and Preserving the Community’s
Supply of Low- and Moderate-Income Housing Outside the Project Area
will be of Benefit to the Project Area; and (II) Approving the Use
of Housing Funds from the Business and Waterfront and West End
Community Improvement Projects to Pay a Portion of the Costs of
Development of a 52-Unit Affordable Rental Project within the East
Housing Area.” Adopted.
Commissioner DeWitt moved adoption of the resolution.

following voice vote: Ayes: Commissioners Daysog, DeWitt,
Matarrese, and Chair Johnson – 4. Noes: Commissioner Kerr – 1.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Chair Johnson adjourned the
Special Meeting at 7:48 p.m.
