GRANTING TO THE EAST BAY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT
AN EASEMENT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A FIRE HYDRANT IN
PROXIMITY TO THE FIRE DRILL TOWER ON THE MUNICIPAL
GOLF COURSE.
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has requested the East Bay Municipal
Utility District to install a fire hydrant in proximity to the Fire Drill Tower
now under construction on the Municipal Golf Course at Bay Farm Island; and
WHEREAS, the East Bay Municipal Utility District has requested from
the City of Alameda the granting of an easement for the purpose of installing and
maintaining such fire hydrant said easement being particularly described as
follows:
and
easement;
An easement 5 feet in width lying 2.5' on each side of
the following described center line and situated in Lot 21,
Section 19, Township 2 South, Range 3 West, M.D.B.&M. as
said Lot is shown on the Map entitled "Map No 2 Salt Marsh
and Tide Lands situated in the County of Alameda, State of
California," and filed with the Surveyor General of the
State of California.
COMMENCING at the point of intersection of the center line
of the roadway right-of-way 80 feet in width (commonly designated
as County Road #1468) with the South line of said Lot 21, and
running thence along said center line North 10* 08' 05" East
169.10 feet; thence South 79* 51' 55" East 40.00' to a point
in the easterly line of said roadway right-of-way; said point
being the point of beginning of the easement center line; continu-
ing thence South 79* 51° 55" East 16.90 feet to the end of said
line;
WHEREAS, public interest and convenience demand the granting of said
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that said easement be, and is hereby, granted to the East Bay Municipal Utility
District in accordance with said request, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute and attest, respectively,
the necessary deed therefor on behalf of the City.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in
regular meeting assembled on the 6th day of November, 1946, by the following vote,
to wit
AYES: Councilmen Howe, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
Branscheid, (5).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: None.
