RESOLUTION NO. 3434
AUTHORIZING INVESTMENT OF $150,000.00 FROM ACTIVE FUNDS
OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA NOW ON DEPOSIT IN BANKS, IN 7/8
PERCENT TREASURY CERTIFICATES
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has active moneys on hand in bank
deposits in excess of $150,000.00; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that $150,000.00 out of the
aforesaid funds be invested in 7/8 Percent Treasury Certificates of
Indebtedness of the United States of America, maturing December 1, 1947;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL 07 THE CITY OF
ALAMEDA that the amount of $150,000.00 from active funds of the City now on
deposit in banks be, and it is hereby ordered to be, invested in 7/8 Percent
Treasury Certificates of Indebtedness of the United. States of America,
maturing December 1, 1947, and the Treasurer of the City of Alameda is hereby
authorized and directed to purchase forthwith, on behalf of the City of
Alameda, and out of the moneys hereinabove referred to, said Treasury
Certificates, as aforesaid.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of December, 1946, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Howe, Osborn, Sweeney and President
Branscheid, (4).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: Councilman Jones, (1).
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
official seal of said City this 4th day of December, 1946.
