AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH ALASKA
PACKERS ASSOCIATION, A CALIFORNIA CORPORATION,
IN CONNECTION WITH AN EASEMENT FOR A PRIVATE
ROAD; ACCEPTING CCNVEYANCE OF SAID EASEMENT
AND CONSENTING TO THE RECORDATION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Alaska Packers Association, A California, Corporation, is
willing to grant to the City of Alameda a right of way and easement over certain
real property for fire fighting, police protection, and other emergency services;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is willing to accept said easement upon
the terms and conditions therein set forth; and
WHEREAS, said Alaska Packers Association shall pay all of the costs
necessary to construct said right of way; and
WflEREAS, a form of agreement containing the stipulaticns and arcements
entered into between said City of Alameda and. Alaska Packers Association, a Cali-
fornia Corporation, in connection with said right of way and easement, has been
submitted to this Council at its regular meeting held December 17, 1945, and
ordered filed with the CLyCaerk of said City;
NOW, THEREr,CiiE, BE IT RESOLVED 3Y THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY or ALAMEDA
as follows:
That the form of agreement referred to in the preamble hereof and the
terms, covenants, agreements and provisions thereof be, and the same are hereby,
approved.
That the said agreement be entered into, and that the Mayor of the City
of Alameda be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said agree-
ment on behalf of the City of Alameda, and the City Clerk. is authorized to attest
the same.
That the aforementioned agreement and indenture be, and the same is
hereby, accepted on behalf of the City of Alameda, and said City Council, acting
for and in behalf of said City, hereby consents to the recordation of said inden-
ture and orders this resolution to be attached thereto, as required by Section
1159 of the Civil Code of the State of California.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 17th day of December, 1946, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Howe, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
nranscheid, (5).
