Resolution 03471(48 RESOLUTION NO. 3471 AUTHORIZING CITY YANaGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO STATE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ALAYEDA FOR STATE ASSISTANCE IN DEFRAYING COST OF PLANS FOR BROADWAY STORM SEWER. (PROJECT NO. 47-17) WHEREAS, the state of California, der Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944, (4th Extra session) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of -Finance to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as co ties, cities or cities and co ties for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-half the cost of preparing engineering field surveys, engineering or architectural designs, and working and detailed drawings and specifications (hereinafter called flPlans) required for post-war public works projects described as "specific projects" in said Act; and WH1J?SAS, The City of Alameda desires to apply to the Director of 7inance and/or the Post War Public Works Review Board, as the case may be, for an allotment of the State's share of the estimated cost of preparing the completed plans hereinafter mentioned, and there has been prepared and pre- sented to this Legislative Body for consideration an apelication for such purpose; and. WHEREAS, said City has provided, or will make available upon ap- proval of the aforementioned application, sufficient, funds to prepare the completed plans herein mentioned; NOW, 1=REFflRE, 13E IT RESOLVED, that said City submit tae aforesaid application to the Director of Finance and/or the Post ar Public Works Review Board, as the case may be, refluesting allotment of Two Hundred Fifty-nine and 91/100 (1259.91) Dollars, being not more than one-half the cost of preparing said completed plans, or for such amount as may be approved by the Director of -Finance and/or the Post War Public Works Review Board, (said allotment to be used for the purpose of defraying the cost of preparing said completed plans required) for a specific project to be undertaken by said City and described as Project No. 47-17--Broadway Storm Sewer. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the estimated cost of preparing such plans is Five TT dred Nineteen and 82/100 (1519.82) Dollars, and that said City has [lade provision for paying one-half or more of the cost of preparing such plans. IT FURTHER RESCLVED, that for the purposes of this application, Don C. 1c7illan, City ranager of the City of Alameda, be, and he hereby is, designated as the authorized agent of said City and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above mentioned application on behalf of said City and submit the same to the Director of Finance and/or the Post Mr Public nTorks Review Board togetner with a certified statexent of the estimated cost of pre- paring such plans and such other information as may be required; and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed, as the representative of said City, to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangements, includ- ing submission to the Director of Finance of applications for reimbursement, which may be necessary to secure reimbursement for the State's share of the expenditure made in preparing said completed plans. ************************* 1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st day of January 1947, by the following vote, to wit: Howe, (4).
