RESOLUTION NO 3478
AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO FAKE APPLICATION TO STATE
DIRECTOR OF FIYAI;CE OTT BEHALF 07 Tr 7, CITY OF _ILATIEDA
FOR STATE AS3ISTANCE IN DEFRAYING COST CF ALTtUISITION
O' RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR BUENA VISTA AVET, RE-AI IGNT CENT
AT EVERETT STREET. (PROTECT NO. 47-"-1)
WHEREAS, The State of California under Chapter 47, Statues of 1944
(4th Extra session) has appropriated funds for allotment to provide financial
assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as co ties, cities or cities
and counties for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-half the cost of
acquiring rihts-of-way or sites for public works projects determined to be
desirable in post-war public works programs of such Local Agencies; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda desires to sbitJ t its request for State
aid in the acquisition of a richt-of-way or sit under said Act; and
v=REAS, a request to the Postwar Public Works Review Board for
such aid has been prepared and presented to this Legislative Body for con-
siceration; and
=REAS, said City has made provisions for paying one-half or more
of the cost or such acquisition;
NOW, TUEREBO1 , BE IT RMOLITJD that the City of Alameda submit the
aforesaid request for acquisition aid to the Postwar Public Works Review rleard
for the ntatefs share of the cost of such acquisition; and
BE IT '2URTTER RESOLVED, that said City hereby certifies that the
total estimated cost to be paid for the acquisition of the right-of-way or
site for which it is requesting aid under said Act is 4,104.60; and
BE IT YITRTTTER RESOLVED that said City hereby requests the State to
pay the State's share of the total cost to be paid for tie acquisition for
which said City is requesting aid; and
TT F1JT-e:712 RESOLVED that for the purpose of this request Don C.
leTii1lan, City Manager of the City of ,dameda, be, and he hereby is, designated
as the authorized agent of said City and is hereby authorized and directed to
sign the herein mentioned request on behalf of said City and to submit the
same to the Postwar Public Works Review Board, together with a certified
statement of the total cost to be paid for the acquistion of the herein men-
tioned richt-of-way or site and such other information as may be required;
and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed, as the rep-
resentative of said City, to conduct all negotiations and conclude all
arrangements, including submission to the Director of A.anance of applica-
tions for payment, which may be necessary to secure payment of the State's
share of the cost of the acquisition of the aforementioned richt-of-way or
site.

in regular meeting assembled on the 4th day of February, 1947, by the follow-
